Searching for Easter's Promise: John Dominic Crossan
In this wide-ranging interview, we talk to the world-renowned and controversial Bible scholar about his new book, Resurrecting Easter.
The book is a fifteen year detective story to find a missing understanding of Easter, which Crossan claims was lost in the mists of time. Crossan and his wife, professional photographer Sarah Crossan, take a journey across the near and middle east to discover images of Christ that rearrange western understandings of the Christian resurrection.

As a result of this work, he is generally acknowledged to be the premier historical Jesus scholar in the world. His books include The Historical Jesus, Jesus: A Revolutionary Biography, and Who Killed Jesus? He recently appeared in the PBS special "From Jesus to Christ."
